Rush-9 was accepted into the Natural Health Product (NHP) licensing pathway because its formulation, dosage, and product representation align with Health Canada’s NHP framework. The product is presented as a fruit extract tablet, includes defined maximum daily dosing, risk and caution statements, and a clear medicinal and non-medicinal ingredient structure—all core requirements of an NHP.
Following a classification review, Rush-9 was determined to be more consistent with an NHP than a conventional food or beverage. As a result, regulatory correspondence is now handled directly through Natural and Non-Prescription Health Products Directorate, marking a key de-risking milestone and a significant step toward issuance of an official NHP number.
